Carlo Acutis has been canonized by Pope Leo XIV, becoming the Catholic Church’s first millennial saint. Known as “God’s influencer,” he passed away at age 15 in 2006 from leukemia and used his tech skills to create a website documenting Eucharistic miracles, merging devotion with digital literacy.
He was canonized alongside Pier Giorgio Frassati, a beloved Italian layman. He was a patron of young people, a social activist who opposed Fascism, and a man of deep prayer and devotion to the Eucharist. He passed away at age 24 in 1925 from polio.
